Last 2 years working as Cloud Solutions Architect, responsible for providing cloud based solutions architecture for System Integrators and customers. Focus is IBM Public and Private Cloud, which includes IBM Bluemix (PaaS as well as IaaS) and other SaaS offerings and integration with backend systems, Hybrid Cloud. My focus is on following key areas.

  • Lift and shift applications workloads to Cloud. This includes applications running on WebSphere Application Servers as well as other technologies. Used automation products such as Urban Code Deploy (UCD), Jenkins, DevOps Services etc.
  • Worked on Docker Runtime and Kubernetes and various MicroServices Fabrics such as Netflix, Istio etc. Worked on methodology to modernise  monolithic applications to microservices  based.
  • Worked on solutions using Blockchain/Hyperledger on Cloud.
  • Looked at various NFRs in Cloud. Presented sessions and lab in Interconnect Conference on Performance Monitoring and Problem Determination on PaaS Cloud.
  • Worked on various CloudFoundry APIs to write custom tools.

  • Provided PaaS based solution for one of Swedish client, which includes Java Runtime, SQL DB and DevOps for managing application development and management.
  • Provided docker container based solution for one of french account, involving applications on docker and DBaaS, including DevOps Tool Chain end to end setup
  • Building cognitive based solutions.
  • Building various cloud based accelerators for System Integrators, which helps reducing cost.
  • Created prototype for MicroServices based Banking solution.
  • Built a working prototype to convert Monolithic Shopping application to MicroServices.

WAS Architect for Performance Monitoring Infrastructure. Responsible for architecture and development of monitoring solutions / tools for Performance Monitoring, performance advisors, end to end request tracking, etc.
Details:

  • NextGen Monitoring Infrastructure for WebSphere Liberty Server : Built new monitoring infrastructure for WebSphere Application Server Liberty. This new monitoring infrastructure is built using OSGi Programming Model, ASM Framework and using JMX MXBeans to report Performance data.
  • Built extensible middleware analytics solution for WebSphere Log, Traces and Monitoring data.
  • Responsible for setting Road-Map for Monitoring Tools. This includes collecting requirements from fields and implementing in product. Keep it more useful, light weight.
  • WASMON Tool: Developed a new tool, to collect key performance settings, performance data into CSV format and provided excel based analyzer to plot charts.

  • Achieved 1000+ TPS by benchmarking the backend application of client by influencing design and application level architecture. 

Performance Engagement for one of Major Telecom Website of Malaysia : (Duration: 2 months.)

  • Evaluated performance of client pre-paid application site and provided recommendations for production environment.

Performance Consulting for various Major Banks in India (Duration 2 to 6 weeks)

  • Worked with many clients (Banks in India having high workload) for resolving their performance problems in retail and corporate banking websites, as well as helped during application migrations.
